Entomology and Pest Management

Writing the original version of Entomology and Pest Management was an enjoyable but daunting task. Deciding on how to combine basic entomology with applied aspects of the science was particularly difficult. That difficulty remains, even after six editions. Based on recommendations gathered from comprehensive reviews, we decided to continue approximately the same mix of basic and applied topics in this sixth edition. Yet, we wanted to place increased emphasis on advances in the technology of management. In an attempt to accomplish this goal, we developed a new chapter entitled Biopesticides for Management. This chapter (Chapter 12) embodies new writing plus a reorganization of previously treated subjects.
