Friction Stir Spot Welding: Metallurgical, Mechanical and Tribological Properties

Friction stir spot welding (FSSW) for similar and different materials was developed as a result of the changing application, which called for the creation of new methods of combining similar and dissimilar materials. Numerous publications have been written about FSSW of comparable and different materials, but the influence of the interlayer in the process has not yet received the same attention as a new technique. As a result, the emphasis of this work is on reporting the impact of interlayer on FSSW of different metals.
