Contracting and Contract Law in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
Martin Ebers, Cristina Poncibò and Mimi Zou
Today we are witnessing the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), which is enabling soft ware agents to carry out a growing variety of transactions independent of human intervention. Some of these transactions include comparative pricing, negotiating contractual terms, and buying and selling goods and services. A broad question underlying numerous contributions to this book is whether the use of AI in contracting can support or, perhaps in the near future, even replace humans when it comes to entering into, drafting, and executing contracts.
